Most of us like when our clothes are crisp, our lawns are groomed, and our windows are sparkly. Household products can make all the difference in cleaning and making our environments more pleasant. Each product, however, has unique instructions that can be found on the label. For example, aerosol products include things like:

• Air freshener
• Carpet or upholstery spot cleaners
• Dry shampoo
• Glass cleaner
• Hairspray
• Leather conditioner and cleaner
• Sunscreen
• Vinyl and cleaner
• Bug repellent

Do you use any of these products? If so, read the label to learn how to use them properly. Aerosol products are not designed to be stored in high-temperature areas. Keep aerosol products out of hot cars this summer. Pass on these tips to a friend or family member:

• Do NOT leave aerosol products in cars or other hot places—they are not meant to be stored in temperatures past 120°. When the outside temperature is 85°, the temperature in a car can reach 120°.
• Always read the label for proper use, storage, and instructions.

Whether planning a beach vacation, a camping trip, a big night out, or even a cleaning day, make sure to always read the label and keep aerosol products out of hot cars this summer.
