Website

ACE’s www.stopgerms.org  website continues to grow and gain the interest of more and more people since its inception.  In addition to a number of school districts and classrooms that list ACE’s site as a resource, the site is also being picked up by corporate websites and personal blogs.

Most recently, the site was linked from a “wellness” section of the Dixie Consumer Company website, and a home cleaning blog where StopGerms.org was called “fascinating,” a “good resource,” and an “important contribution from an organization that lives up to their stated mission.”

ACE’s award-winning website is looking forward to solidifying its reputation as a progressive, reliable source with updates that will keep it at the forefront of interactive technology.  There are many new additions planned for the house this year, including: a  garage, car, foyer, and additional FAQ sheets.  Most recently, a summer-themed mosquito FAQ sheet and tips to avoid insect bites were added to the site. ACE is also looking to expand the virtual house even further by developing a 3-D version of it within Second Life (www.secondlife.com).  Second Life is an interactive web world that is quickly turning into a virtual internet phenomenon.  ACE is looking forward to taking advantage of this opportunity and using its interactive capabilities and vast audience in order to get the message out about its Disease Prevention Program.

Conferences and Exposure

ACE was also happy to reach an extended audience at the Antimicrobial conference this past May in Arlington, Virginia.  ACE had a featured booth at the conference and was able to take kit requests, hand out information, and answer questions.  ACE looks forward to more opportunities like this to increase the visibility of the Disease Prevention Program.
